וַיַּעֲל֥וּ בְּבַֽעַל־פְּרָצִים֮ וַיַּכֵּ֣ם שָׁ֣ם דָּוִיד֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֔יד פָּרַ֨ץ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֧ים אֶת־אוֹיְבַ֛י בְּיָדִ֖י כְּפֶ֣רֶץ מָ֑יִם עַל־כֵּ֗ן קָֽרְא֛וּ שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא בַּ֥עַל פְּרָצִֽים׃
און זײ זײַנען אַרױפֿגעגאַנגען קײן בעַל-פּרָצים, און דוד האָט זײ דאָרטן געשלאָגן; און דוד האָט געזאָגט: גאָט האָט דורכגעבראָכן מײַנע פֿײַנט מיט מײַן האַנט, אַזױ װי אַ דורכבראָך פֿון װאַסער. דרום האָט מען גערופֿן דעם נאָמען פֿון יענעם אָרט בעַל-פּרָצים.
